Lettera di solidarietà agli studenti e ai docenti ucraini e russi
Questi sono giorni di guerra e non più di lezione per gli studenti e i professori delle scuole e delle università dell’Ucraina. Sono le immagini di bambini in fuga e di tanti giovani che si armano per difendere il loro paese quelle che vediamo entrare nelle nostre case e anche questa volta, come in troppe altre occasioni, i valori, gli impegni e le speranze intorno ai quali l’umanità aveva cercato di raccogliersi dopo la Seconda guerra mondiale sembrano perduti.
Il Dipartimento di Studi Letterari, Filosofici e di Storia dell’arte dell’Università di Roma “Tor Vergata” esprime tutta la solidarietà e la vicinanza possibili ai colleghi e agli studenti delle università ucraine e unisce la sua voce a quella di coloro che chiedono al governo italiano e ai governi di tutti i paesi democratici di continuare a lavorare con determinazione per la cessazione delle ostilità, la ripresa del dialogo, una pace duratura, anche se dovessero esserci sacrifici da affrontare per le sanzioni con le quali si cerca di condizionare chi ha voluto e iniziato questa guerra.
Siamo pronti a dare il nostro contributo, nel momento in cui sarà possibile ricostruire i ponti che oggi vengono distrutti. Perché questa è la missione di chi studia, fa ricerca ed è abituato da sempre a condividere, contaminare la propria storia e il proprio sapere con quelli degli altri.
La nostra solidarietà va anche a tutte le donne e gli uomini, a tutti i giovani che in Russia hanno il coraggio di scendere nelle strade e nelle piazze delle loro città per dire “no” alla guerra, a tutti coloro che in quel grande paese subiscono la violenza della persecuzione, artisti, intellettuali, giornalisti, affrontando a testa alta rischi che noi abbiamo il privilegio di non correre. Anche con loro vogliamo tornare presto a camminare insieme, come abbiamo fatto in questi anni con tutti gli studenti russi delle nostre università: che restano i benvenuti e che anche per il futuro, sul quale sembrano addensarsi incertezze, potranno contare sulla nostra disponibilità a proseguire il dialogo culturale.
Письмо солидарности с украинскими и русскими преподавателями и студентами
Ученики и преподаватели украинских школ и университетов в эти дни не могут думать о занятиях – они переживают ужасы войны. Мы видим страшные кадры детей, вынужденных покинуть свои дома, и молодых людей, которые берут оружие, чтобы защитить свою страну, и в этот раз, как и во многих других случаях, усилия, надежды и ценности, которые человечество стремилось упрочить после Второй мировой войны, кажутся потерянными.
Отделение Словесности, Философии и Истории Искусства Римского университета «Тор Вергата» выражает полную солидарность с коллегами и студентами украинских университетов и присоединяется к тем, кто призывает итальянское правительство и правительства всех демократических стран продолжать прилагать все усилия, направленные на прекращение агрессии, возвращение к дипломатическим переговорам и установлению мира, даже ценой лишений, связанных с жесткими санкциями, наложенными на страну, чей лидер развязал эту войну.
Мы готовы внести посильный вклад, чтобы восстановить прерванный культурный диалог, как только это будет возможно. Потому что именно в этом заключается миссия студентов, исследователей и всех тех, кто привык разделять свою историю и свои знания с другими.
Мы выражаем нашу солидарность со всеми женщинами и мужчинами, со всеми молодыми людьми в России, которые нашли в себе мужество выйти на улицы и площади городов, чтобы сказать «нет» войне, с высоко поднятой головой подвергая себя рискам, которых мы, к счастью, можем избежать. И к ним мы хотим вернуться, чтобы продолжить вместе наш общий путь, как это было всегда в отношении русских студентов нашего университета. И даже если сейчас будущее представляется туманным и вызывает опасения, они всегда могут рассчитывать на нашу поддержку.
Letter of solidarity to Ukrainian and Russian students and teachers
These are days of war and no longer of lessons for students and teachers in schools and universities in Ukraine. The images that enter our homes are the images of children fleeing and of many young people taking up arms to defend their country. Once again, as on too many other occasions, the values, commitments and hopes around which humankind had tried to gather after World War II seem to have been lost.
The Department of Literature, Philosophy and Art History of the University of Rome Tor Vergata expresses all possible solidarity with, and closeness to colleagues and students of Ukrainian universities. It joins its voice to those who ask the Italian Government and the Governments of all democratic countries to continue to work with determination for the cessation of hostilities, the resumption of dialogue, a lasting peace, even if there should be sacrifices to be faced due to the sanctions that have been imposed to try to condition those who wanted and started this war.
We are ready to make our contribution to rebuild the bridges that are being destroyed today. This is the mission of all those who are devoted to study and research, to sharing and contaminating their own history and knowledge with that of others.
Our solidarity also goes to all the women and men, to all the young people in Russia who have the courage to take to the streets and squares of their cities to say no to war, to all those in that great country who suffer the violence of persecution, artists, intellectuals, journalists, taking risks with their heads held high, risks that we have the privilege of not running here at home. We want to return to walking together with them soon too, as we have done in recent years with all the Russian students at our universities: they are welcome as they always were, and they can count on our willingness to continue the cultural dialogue also for the future, despite the uncertainties that seem to be looming.
